Great Sounds Combine With a Friendly Atmosphere at The Quebec
“There are some fabulous cabaret sounds coming from the piano bar at The Quebec, London’s newest cabaret bar.
From the live piano you hear the moment you step inside right down to the standard cabaret feel of the music, you’ll know you’ve found a great place to be for the evening. You can expect all the cabaret features like superb music and singers and our piano players absolutely have to be heard to be believed.
Some evenings we even offer an ‘open piano’ night giving you the opportunity to get up and show off your talent on the keyboard as well. You never know when someone famous in cabaret circles just might stop by.
Cabarets are once again climbing in popularity on the London social scene. Nightclubs fill up quickly and bars have little to offer beyond a place to drink so cabarets are bringing glitz and glamor back to the nights in London.
What can you expect from the shows at The Quebec? A Cabaret style show is a very distinct kind of entertainment. You’ll find comedy, singing, dancing and some theater, all taking place in a nightclub setting, where the audience is seated at tables instead of the more familiar row upon row of bleacher-type seating. Food and drink are served, which can often result in the wait persons becoming part of some routines, either deliberately or as a spontaneous ad lib.
Contemporary cabaret acts feature combinations of original music, some burlesque and political satire. A Master of Ceremonies still keeps things rolling along, and interestingly more than a few of them tend to look like Joel Grey.”
